The new idea for SimsTabloid is called "Favourites" - I take one simmer, and ask them a variety of questions to find out their favourite things inside and sometimes outside of the simming world! Community Reactions : The Sims 4

So The Sims 4 screenshots leaked today via SimsDomination! And they've had quite a polarising effect, some love the cartoonish feel the producers and artists are going for, some despise of it! So I decided to put together a string of tweets to see where the community stands!

Now the hair looks like plastic, it's awful. The Sims 2 has better hair... Please just... And it looks like only one colour channel too?! :(

Urm I'm not going to lie but I do not like the sims in the sims4 at the moment. It looks more like the sims 2 than 4. But it's still early!

The Sims in 4 DO seem to go back to 2's emotional style and they look expressive. But I want to see this in action before I decide.

I think the issue with the sims4 images is that they are so squared, the sims and the objects don't look natural, where have curves gone ?!

Sims 4 : Decoding These Teasers

So as you may or may not know, producers on the Sims 4 team have been unveiling witty teasers that have hinted at many new features for the next base game of the franchise. But what do they mean?

This teaser above shows how multitasking will be a part of The Sims 4. The producer pair seem to be interacting with each other whilst drinks are being poured! PLUS notice that the female producer holds two cups, could this mean she is bringing a drink to a friend too? Also look at the object in use, it's a bar, could this be a bar that comes with its own bartender, I mean do we have to wait for an expansion for a bar worker every time?!

Now this is an example of a Sims 4 object - a new piece of gym equipment, a Sims 4 Punching Bag. Which is a cool new object, a long with the boxing gloves. BUT look at the headband, it shows that maybe now we can add layers to outfits to be more creative. ALSO see how the producer is hugging the object, could this mean there are more interactions between object to sim or even emotions between sim and object? I mean we all feel attached to our phones right?

So is this simply a hint at height sliders? Of course it hints at different heights for your sims,.but look at the jacket one guru is wearing (more layering hints) and look at how one of the tapes is wrapped around the arm of the producer in the middle. Could this mean sliders for different body parts? ALSO does it mean a return of the stylist profession OR profressions as a whole?

This hint also tells us that sims in The Sims 4 can be sculpted and shaped like clay, which hints at even more complexity with create a sim! Could we also get a clay/pottery object in The Sims 4? Also because it's a very artistic object to use, does it hint at self-employment options much like we got in The Sims 3 Ambitions? The producer seems to be hard at work.

Another CAS hint, again more features about layering items and the return of the stylist proffesion in The Sims 4. However also look at the magazine, how the outfit chosen is taken out of a magazine AND look at the crumpled up magazine page too. Could this be a new "magazine outfit" style new interface for dressing our sims? Look through magazine of looks and choose what you like on your sims. This also hints at Create an outfit and even an outfit option for the Sims 4 exchange.

SimGuruGraham's turn now! In his trust Island Paradise themed T-Shirt! Of course the pink flamingo makes a return into the next base game! But look at the tiki style furnishings and the Island themed decor, could this be a hint to a world that comes with the Sims 4? Could it mean more then one world which utilises different features? OR could it mean that the hottest features from all  previous expansions will return, as they use Island Paradise (the most recently released) as an example? Also there was something about the flamingo being evil in the caption, could this mean objects have trait specific features?



Hmm..it looks like the sims will have their own opinions depending on their personalities. However is the painting based on the artists personality?

A new party system, drinks, being to juiced to function, juice-overs and energy drinks! Could we get objects that give us fixes for when our needs are low?

Sims 4 : Which Features To Expect

So the Sims 4 team have been teasing us for days on new features and with even more rumours... I am predicting what we're defintely getting!

A New Create A Sim Interface
Revealed by accident by The Sims 3 twitter account we know for sure that we're getting a new CAS interface in The Sims 4 and the new plumbot interface in the latest live broadcast sure hints this too!

Sims That Are Intelligent
We've all been there... having to direct our sims step by step just because there isn't a problem. The sims in The Sims 4 will definitely be smarter and will deal with problems more often..almost as if they will fix themselves.

Create A World Features In The Base Game
From terrain to road extension, while we won't see a fully fledged Create A World, we will see some of the big aspects that people will want to see that will make adjusting their favourite worlds even easier!

Eyes to the soul hey?

Multitasking!
Finally! No more do this, then do that, then do that! Sims will be able to properly do two thing at once in The Sims 4 (no..talking whilst lying on a bed doesn't count). We are going to see sims that can dance while holding a drink, talk while playing an instrument! Just become more intelligent and more realistic, while keeping the natural sims bounciness!

Deeper Relationships
No more getting married in one night kind of drama! We will see a more complex relationship system that will be fun to play around with and it won't be too complex so we can still keep a bit of the sims logic memes! Overall, it will be harder to become romantically linked BUT a new attraction system will help us simmers too.

First Person Camera View
And I mean Sims eyes! Not Generations eyes!

Online Play
Maybe a SimCity type play where we can play with each other in the same game! Who knows? What we do know, is that it will be optional!

Restaurants...No More Rabbitholes
And to finish off...the death of rabbitholes! Hallelujah! Of course work rabbitholes will be retained..but now we can see our sims eat and get massages! Time to celebrate with a birthday cake and lobster thermidor!

Also...I place my bet on The Sims 4 being after The Sims 2 on the Sims Timeline!
